Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind -
Kaze no tani no Naushika
(1984)
dir. Hayao Miyazaki
- Kazunori Itô wrote the movie's first draft. Itô would later write "Ghost in the Shell" in 1995.
- Nausicaä is also the name of the daughter of Phaeacian King Alcinous in Homer's Odyssey. Link:

- Epic movie. Watched on a tiny winamp web stream back in middle school. Watched a second time last time I visited China.

James
: I'd settle for a taste of that Pika-chow.
- I watched this in Rainbow Cinema, with a loooong line up. Still have my shiny Ancient Mew card somewhere.
