something that i don't understand

I'm new with this manga and i only read up to chapter 38 from this site, where i found your release.

How can be that there are 212 chapter? 8 (the maximum number of chaper for book that i see in your site) x 17 = 136.

The story isn't linear: it's jumps from present to past , to future....really hard to read....and some chapter are the same....

Can someone explains me why these two thing?

Hmm? The project page for Holic on the main site has (most of the) downloads for up to volume 15 that I can see.

Flegia is right, there are not 204 chapters listed in the Holic project page
if I am not wrong, there are 102 chapter

Hey, I don't know why the two aren't matching but my best guess would be that the chapters that were released in the original magazines were split into two parts and then recollected into tankoubon/book format and numbered anew for each volume.

This results in a discrepancy between the chapters as classified by magazine release and the chapters as classified by tankoubon format. If aline2003's count is correct, it looks like they had roughly two magazine chapters for each tankoubon chapter.

If it confuses you, don't worry, Del Rey stuffed it up in their print run as well.

Back when I first noticed it I found the equivalents to be:
Volume 1 = Ch 01-08
Volume 2 = Ch 09-15
Volume 3 = Ch 16-22
Volume 4 = Ch 23-28
Volume 5 = Ch 29-34
Volume 6 = Ch 35-42
Volume 7 = Ch 73-84
Volume 8 = Ch 85-96
Volume 9 = Ch 97-108
Volume 10 = Ch 108-121
Volume 11 = Ch 122-132
Volume 12 = Ch 133-144
Volume 13 = Ch 145-157
Volume 14 = Ch 156-170
Volume 15 = Ch 171-182
Volume 16 = Ch 183-193
Volume 17 = Ch 194-204

actually the chapters are really messed up if you try to read it online in manga reader sites. i'm still a newbie but i can't download xxx holic chapters anymore from the main site (bwys.org)  i have tried all other different manga sites, but it turn out  the same.
