Sister fangirl-thread. Who do you think will end up with Watanuki?

Although it runs in Young Magazine which I imagine would prefer straight relationships...

For a while I considered Himawari a contender, but now I feel CLAMP has given Doumeki much more blessings to be with Watanuki (or even Yuuko). Zashiki Warashi I don't see as a contender at all, or she would be more relevant.

Well, I'd rather see a DouWata pairing than anything else, but it's possible Watanuki might end the series not being paired off with anyone. It has to be someone who's significant in his mind, and right now that's really just Doumeki, Himawari and Yuuko. Like you said, Zashiki Warashi isn't central enough..and even if there end up being no pairings at all, I'll still love this manga. It's one of the most brilliant things I've ever read.

Right now I'm agreeing with the previous post and saying it looks like Watanuki has a lot of precious people but no one most precious.  If anyone I'd say Doumeki.

I never really thought that he would 'end up with' Himawari, but the scene where he tells her that he's happy to have met her and that he loves to see her smile most of all--always, always gets to me.

even though I do like straight pairings better... everything is pointing towards a watanuki x doumeki. o.o
