Some of these are not necessarily future BWYS projects, but they are things we'd do if the workforce came along.

Basic editor means you know how to white out Japanese text and enter in English text in Photoshop. No redrawing or cloning necessary.
Basic editors must attempt the editing test, experienced editors must pwn it, or send a chapter they've done before with examples of cloning/redrawing.

¿What about Kein? In main folder, in section proyects, it don't appear now. ¿Do you don't continue with this proyect?

Here says that you need an editor. I'm making the spanish version of Kain, and if you don't continue with this I can offer about editor and I could continue the twins versions, english and spanish.

We have decided not to continue working on Kain, but Sushi Bar Manga/Blah Manga will keep doing it.

Yes, I have gotten Da-manta-ray's email.

However Da-manta-ray has given me a sort of conundrum. I have not decided what to do about it, I will reply Da-manta-ray's email when I do.


ftechz has been accepted, but he/she is hiatusing on exams :(

Can you add CLUSTER by Tamayo Akiyama in your projects,i have volumes/raws of cluster by Tamayo Akiyama.

We have them too (unscanned), but there is no interest in editing it. I'd only consider adding it as a project if you were able to offer an experienced editor too. As you can see we've dropped Hyper Rune, while there's a lot of interest in doing the early CLAMP work there's none for Tamayo Akiyama in the staff...

Another possibility is, if you can convince CLAMP no Lumiere to pick it up, or convince them to joint with us with them doing the editing (including the double pagers), it could still happen... they may be nerdy enough to do Cluster ;)


We've also got Shade, another Ohkawa-Akiyama manga.

Tamayo Akiyama can't express her own plot in the manga better,i find her manga quite convulted in story.

Its one thing to say one is going to be the editor for Cluster, and quite another thing to do it. At modern BWYS quality. This is a seven volume commitment, and from what Maris has told me, it is chock-full of double pagers and heavy re-draw jobs. It doesn't just need someone who knows a bit of Photoshop, it needs someone who's experienced in scanlating in Photoshop. That's easier said than done, Shade has only about 20 pages that are NOT double pagers. I'm not sure there's an experienced editor alive willing to do that, and I'm not cruel enough to 'force' any staff into it even if I could.

Hello, if BWYS wouldn't mind... can M to N no Shouzou be also considered as a project.  Apparently, {JE} Scanlations decided to close down and there isn't anyone whose doing it... and I really want to read it... please... thanx very much.

{JE} Scanlations decided to close? Sounds like good news to me.

I know Tachibana Higuchi fans are going to be sad that there's no way to read M to N no Shouzou, and its unlikely that it'll be licensed if it hasn't been this far. BWYS has no plans to pick it up though, and Tachibana Higuchi's art style makes scanlating very difficult.

But I'll keep it in mind. When Tsubasa and xxxHOLiC end, which is going to be sometime in the first half of this year, we'll have a lot of staff open.

If BWYS doesn't mind, could you guys consider Nosatsu Junkie...  I think the other groups (somehow) dropped it... they haven't released anything for ages... thanx a lot.

Sorry, but we won't consider Nosatsu Junkie. Reasons being firstly that I'm not interested, and secondly that its licensed by Tokyopop.


I know we may seem like a group that doesn't care for licenses, but we would prefer not doing any more licensed projects. Gakuen Alice was a situational exception and Tsubasa/HOLiC is... is CLAMP.
