I believe lots of people on the Internet may have some experience of being talented but lonely, which seems to be the ultimate subject of this series.  The fact that in this story the lonely young guy has a family of a kind, who are kind to him, is great.  For anyone who has been through such loneliness in real life, reading about such kind people can be a great comfort for sad experiences or memories.
